What do we need to give to Lyndal or George before we leave for camp?
  • We need to have a medical release form (the blue form) and the camp form found in the brochure. If you have not yet turned in the medical release form, click here.
  • If you have not already paid you need to do so immediately.
When will we leave for camp?
  • The chartered buses will leave the church parking lot at 8am on Sunday morning the 26th. Please be to the church by 7:30am.
  • Corps will leave by van Saturday morning the 25th at 8 am.
Do I need any money for camp?
  • Yes, we will stop for lunch on the way to camp and on the way home at a fast food restaurant (around $20).
  • No other money is needed. Canteen is provided twice a day for snacks/drinks at no charge.
How can my parents reach me if they need me while at camp?
  • George and Lyndal will have their cell phones with them in case of emergency. They will work in most places around camp, but they might have to call you back.  George's Number is (901) 596-9974, Lyndal's is (501) 837-0101.

What should I pack for camp?
  • Bible, notebook, pen
  • Flashlight with extra batteries
  • Sleeping bag and/or sheets/blankets
  • Pillow
  • Shorts and t-shirts
  • Swimsuit
  • Toiletries
  • Rain jacket (optional)
  • Bath towels/washcloths for showers (at least 2), will need a towel at the pool too.
  • Shower accessories (soap, deodorant, shampoo, shower shoes, etc)
  • Creek hiking shoes are a must! Old tennis shoes are great for this.
  • Long sleeve t-shirt for cooler nights
  • Dark clothes that can get dirty for capture the flag
  • Clothes that can get messy during water wars on Friday
  • Insect spray
  • Camera (optional)
  • Shaving cream (without menthol) for Friday’s water wars
  • Large garbage bag for wet and yucky clothes to bring home (be sure to label it beforehand!)
  • Water Bottle (they will not be provided this year)
What should I not pack for camp?
  1. No electronic devices are to be used on the bus or outside of the cabin. We want to grow as a group and learn about each other while learning more about God and these items can be a distraction. If you choose to bring an mp3 player or cell phone we have NO way of guaranteeing the security of these items.
  2. Personal video game systems are not permitted at camp.
  3. Drugs, alcohol and weapons are strictly prohibited and will result in being sent home at your parents’ expense.

What is the dress code for camp?
  • Girls should bring a modest one-piece swimsuit or a tankini that overlaps completely (no deep v-necks). A bikini with a t-shirt over it is not permissible.
  • Girls’ shirts should not be low-cut. Tank-tops are ok with no bra straps or cleavage showing. When you raise your arms you should not be able to see your stomach. When you bend down, you should not be able to see your underwear.
  • All shorts should be modest. We realize that it is difficult for some girls to find longer shorts. So, here is the compromise: shorts must be modest and come to at least mid-thigh. They need to be consistently mid-thigh on all sides, not just in the front and back. This means no “Nike shorts." We will be enforcing this rule, so don’t even bring them.
  • We should not be able to see your underwear at any time – from the top or the bottom. (girls and guys)
  • Guys' shirts should not be cut-off under the sleeves unless an undershirt is also worn.  Tank-tops can be worn but not the ribbed sleeveless undershirts by themselves.  Shorts should come to your knees.
What if I need medicine while I’m away?
  • We will have 4 nurses/medical workers going with us to camp.
  • Any medications need to be checked in with them the morning we leave for camp with full instructions.
  • The camp will have a first aid supply kit for minor treatments.

  • Camp Celebration - It will be Wednesday night August 5 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. This is an evening you don’t want to miss. We’ll serve dinner and watch the camp video together in the Fellowship Hall in celebration of all the amazing things God accomplished over the week. All parents, siblings and camp participants are invited! Cost will be $5 per person.
  • Camp Sunday - On Sunday, August 9 we will have Camp Sunday. We will be celebrating 50 years of Jr. High Camp. David Rubio (former youth minister) will be speaking. We will have an 8:15 (fellowship hall) and 8:30 (auditorium) service on that morning with a combined Sunday School class in the auditorium.
