The Ghana team left yesterday for their mission trip. They arrived early this morning. Please pray for Carol Michael and Joe Galloway, the team leaders. Also pray for Will Andershock, Allie Chester, Cody Cottrell, Sarah Hughes, Madison Massey, Jeff Morris, Laura Myers and Eli Randolph. We know the name of God will be made famous because of their work in Ghana.

In 1989 I was a junior in College; none of the students in our youth ministry had been born and only one of our interns had made it into this world. In 1989 George Bush (the first one) was the president, the Cold War was not yet over and gas cost about 98 cents per gallon (and we thought that was outrageous). This is the twenty-fifth Memphis Workcamp. It was started in 1989 by a group of men in our city who thought there was more that young Christians could be doing to serve our community. Since then, thousands of teens from many states have painted hundreds of houses. Also, Workcamps in other cities have popped up. There is no way to know how many houses have been painted and how many lives have been touched because of those men who originally began Memphis Workcamp. This past week around sixty teens and adults from White Station, along with over 400 from other churches, took part in Memphis Workcamp. We hope their lives were affected in the same ways that they have been affecting the lives of others. We are not just painting houses, but we are renovating hearts. Thanks to all who served our diverse community this week at Workcamp.  (Sanctuary is a youth worship that takes place every Wednesday night in The Station at 6:30pm)

July 24 – CAMP (No Sanctuary) July 31 – CAMP CELEBRATION August 7 – Wake UP It is so easy to allow the values of the rest of the world to lull us into not paying attention to what God wants from us. Can we wake up to what God has in store? August 14 – Listen UP What if we learned to listen to the Spirit of God in everything we do? This is about making intentional time for God. August 21 – Elder Prayer August 28 – Fall Sanctuary Kickoff (Sunday School take place at 9:45 am in The Station, and is taught by the interns during the summer)
