Every year the young men of WSYG go to Natchez Trace State Park for our guys retreat. It is a time of spiritual development, worship, small groups, great games, football, really good food and fellowship. It is a place where many of our guys have experienced true Christian community. The speaker this year will be Rusty Adair. He is one of our youth group's favorite Sunday School teachers, and is a strong leader in our church. This year our Worship Leaders will be two of our seniors, Caleb Cranford and Wilson Hughes. If you are a guy between 7th and 12th grade and you want to come with us, all of the information is on the "EVENTS" section of wsyg.org.

,This year our at girls retreat our theme was "FIGHT".
We learned about how we all are in a battle, and how we need to know that the fight that is going on is for our hearts. We were so encouraged by our speakers Glenda Spears, and Jennifer King who spoke about finding your fight and how God fights for you. We also had a special breakout session with our Senior girls, where our girls got to get in smaller groups and talk about their personal fights. Over all this weekend was a time of encouragement to step into the battle that God is already fighting for us! May God be praised for a wonderful weekend and our time together. WSYG is happy to announce the 2015 summer interns.
Allie Chester is known to many of you as she grew up at White Station. She attends Harding University and wants to be a youth minister when she graduates. She said, "I've been at White Station since I was born, so many of you know me already. I am so excited to get to know even more of you and to be a part of another amazing summer with WSYG!" Easton Cook also attends Harding and is majoring in Bible. He loves to rock-climb and play drums. He said, "I love my God and I strive, daily, to build others up and to be the best man I can be. I am so excited to be the intern because it's an opportunity to meet new people and to build new relationships!" We are excited God has brought both of these ministers to White Station for the summer. Look them up on social media and say "HI!" |
